Getting Involved
You are especially invited to get involved through the myriad volunteer opportunities at South. From selling bus passes, to critiquing student papers, to serving on the Parent Council, there is something here to meet your special interests and time schedule.
Staying Informed
It is crucial that parents stay informed on student progress.
Here are some suggestions:

Monitor your student's attendance, work habits and homework.

Have a plan in place for truancy.

Hire a tutor for difficult subjects.
*
Look at and respond to grade reports.
*
Arrange for credit make-up.
*
Read all school handbooks and newsletters.
*
Attend Parent Council general meetings.

Evaluate transcripts each year
