South Eugene Parent Council
For the most current and up-to-date information on Parent Council and its activities and meeting dates and times, please go to our website at http://parentcouncil.blogspot.com.
How does Parent Council Help South? Parent Council sponsors the weekly E-News (to subscribe send a “subscribe” message to sehs-subscribe@npogroups.org); sends representatives to Site Council; pays for ½ of the cost of our Volunteer Coordinator; pays 2 hours a week of part time music instruction, pays a portion of library assistance, publishes the school phone directory (order and pay on fee registration form); presents monthly Parent Education Series (more information here); honors and appreciates SEHS teachers and staff with special luncheons and occasional holiday treats. Parent Council also donates to the senior graduation party.
Where does Parent Council Get its Funds? Parent Council asks each family to donate when they pay for school fees at registration. Parent Council also supports Scrip sales and raises funds through sale of the student phone directory. Parent Council and EEF (Eugene Education Fund) work together to fundraise for our Peer program and extra class sections. Chinook Books sold in the main office for $20.00 return $10.00 back to Parent Council to support our activities.
How Can I Join Parent Council? All South Eugene parents represe nting Classic South and the International High School program students are invited to attend the monthly Parent Council meetings. There is no membership process and attendance is welcome whenever you are able to attend.
