SEHS NEWS UPDATE - WEEK OF 5/21/12 »

Reminder, there will be no school Monday, May 28, due to the Memorial Holiday weekend.

The annual CAM Celebration will be held Tuesday, May 22, from 7:00-8:30 in the SEHS cafeteria. You are invited to attend and preview Career Aligned Mastery Programs presented by the Class of 2012. Browsing of projects and snacks will begin at 6:45. Please RSVP to Kathy Ruggles, 541-790-8012.

You are cordially invited to a Student Project Showcase in the cafeteria on Wed., May 23 from 6:00-7:30 p,.m. This event is sponsored by students in AP Comp. Light refreshments will be served. Call the SEHS English office, 541-790-8056 for more information.

As Bees in Honey Drown, directed by Alex Emond, starring Conor Tracy and Claire Marshall, will be running in South Eugene's Little Theater May 22-27. Sunday is a matinee at 2:00 p.m All other performances will be at 7:30 p.m. with the box office opening at 7:00. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults. Don't miss this satirical play about the glamorous and sometimes dangerous world of the upper-class New York artists and socialites.

SEHS Incoming 9th Grade Night will be held Tuesday, May 29. South Eugene High School staff looks forward to seeing all of our incoming freshmen along with their parents. We will meet initially at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium on the NE end of the building. The east parking lot is the best place to park. Administrators, counselors, and staff will present important information about scheduling, freshman basics and orientation, BASMATI, extracurricular activities, supports, summer programs, and more. See you on May 29!

Seniors, tickets will be sold for graduation beginning, Wed. May 30, in the main hall near the office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. Ticket sales will include tickets for the graduation ceremony as well as the graduation breakfast following practice, and tickets for the Senior All Night Party. Ticket sales will run May 30. through June 1. On Monday, June 4, all unclaimed tickets for the graduation ceremony will be available to all graduates with no limit. Breakfast tickets will no longer be available, but tickets to the party will continue to be sold through Wed., June 6. Questions? See Brenda in the main office (541-790-8010.)

Camas Ridge Community School will hold a retiree open house gathering on June 5, from 6:00-8:00 p m for Principal Wally Bryant and teachers Susan Gusinow, Kathy MacPherson, and Debbie McLeod. We will be collecting cards, photos and special memories for each of our retirees at this event. No other gifts, please.
